Scotland's wild coasts are widely known for their rugged beauty and vast colonies of seabirds. You can discover all this during this trip and at the same time give your photographic level a huge boost. Because this trip is accompanied by our experienced guide and creative top photographer Michel d'Oultremont. He knows better than anyone how to put atmosphere and artistry in his photos, which has resulted in him winning the Rising Star Award twice in the prestigious BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year.
Michel will assist you personally and during the many learning moments you will notice how to take better and different photos.
Together with the powerful nature of Scotland, the cozy accommodations and the countless birds, this is a wonderful trip.
YOUR PROGRAM:
Day 1 trip to Stonehaven (Scotland). We all meet there at the B&B Hotel.
Day 2-3-4
photographing on the cliffs of Stonehaven (Torda penguin, Guillemot penguin, Fulmar, Kittiwake and maybe Atlantic puffin).
Day 5,
morning shots on the cliff from Stonehaven, then on to Troup Head. (2 hours by car to the north).
Installation in the B&B hotel.
Day 6-7
photographing Troup head (mainly gannets).
Day 8
return journey (car, boat or plane).
FOCUS ON PHOTO TECHNICS AND TIPS AMONG THOUSANDS OF BIRDS
Along the coasts you often take a quiet seat with huge groups of birds all around you. Since you don't really have to look for the animals, you can spend all your time looking for the right image. Not just any sharp photo, but a creative and interesting image that stands out. And with the good technical guidance that Michel will give you, you will certainly succeed.
There are plenty of times in the evening to view the images together and refine your technique or ask questions.
The intention is to return as a better photographer, and at the same time gain an unforgettable experience in one of the wildest places in Europe.

“A nature lover since childhood, it is at the age of twelve that I put my eyes behind binoculars for the first time.
I have always enjoyed my Belgian countryside looking for birds and wild mammals. It is first that I will photograph water birds. Then mammals such as fox, deer or deer slowly entered my camera finder.
My passion slowly but surely leads me to the Ardennes and I fall in love with this region of Belgium. Then I split my time between school and nature. The call of the wild world will win reason: in 2016 I will be a nature photographer. This is a passion that gives me a lot more happiness than limits.
PHOTOGRAPHIC APPROACH
Through my photos I try to translate the beautiful by showing the aesthetic aspect of nature and biodiversity. The environment plays a big role, because my photographic approach usually shows the animal in a magical biotope. But more and more it is the special lights and the animals that I am looking for. Present or absent, they are the ones who guide and define my images. "

You can fly, come by boat or by car. You will receive the exact arrival places after booking.
Of course you will receive all necessary road information from us. The guide will be waiting for you on the spot.

You will stay in good hotel accommodations in single rooms, with breakfast. Lunch and dinner are joint but not included in the price.
