FROM THE PACIFIC TO THE CARIBBEAN: STUNNING!
LAND OF QUETZAL, FRAGAT BIRD, PUMA, JAGUAR, OCELOT AND SO MUCH MORE ...
On this trip Wildpix lets you discover the raw and unprecedented Guatemala. The small country in central America where eco-tourism is just starting and of course we are the first to be there. Be surprised by this beautiful unprecedented region.
You make an adventurous but perfectly organized trip through the whole country, from volcanoes to real wild jungle, from mangrove forests to paradise islands in the sea. It is truly a wonderful mix of all kinds of biotopes with of course everything focused on photography.
As always, we also have super opportunities here with photo huts for fantastic species. But also photo sessions from boats, jeeps and much more. You go looking for big cats like Puma and Jaguar, but also incredible birds like the Quetzal, the national symbol of Guatemala, and perhaps one of the most beautiful birds in the world.
UNIQUE PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES FOR GREAT SPECIES
A rich biodiversity in different biotopes
Everything is set up for perfect pictures
Our only concern during this trip is to get you the very best experiences and pictures. Our local guides are photographers who know exactly the species and their behavior. That way they bring you in the right place at the right time.
AN EXPEDITION IN GUATEMALA FROM COAST TO COAST
UNIQUE NATURE RESERVES WITH EXCELLENT PHOTO HIDES
Wildpix always guarantees top experiences from photo hides, and here as well. There are several hides in all kinds of biotopes specially adapted to the most interesting species. You are comfortable and protected, with the most beautiful backgrounds and sophisticated perches.
BUT YOU ALSO PHOTOGRAPH FROM BOATS, JEEPS AND MORE...
No effort is too much to get perfect shots, so we use all possible means of transport from speedboats to jeeps.
TRACKING DOWN PUMA, JAGUAR AND OCELOT
The jungle of Guatemala is home to some of the most beautiful felines. The areas we visit have beautiful populations of Puma's and Ocelots. And of course we do everything we can to get them for the cabins, but as you know, that is luck. The local guides follow the animals closely with wildcams and the proof that the animals are also active during the day is there. And then of course there is the king of the jungle, the Jaguar. We are looking for him but that is understandably very difficult, especially since it is mainly a nocturnal animal. But no effort is too much and the chances are real.
STAYING IN THE JUNGLE AND ON THE CARIBBEAN COAST
PERIODS, TRAVEL ROAD AND PROGRAM
We choose to offer this trip in March - April because most birds then actively nest and the photo opportunities are the greatest. Also in terms of weather this is the most pleasant period.
