The European gray wolf, a mythical and extremely rare animal, but fortunately they are on the rise again and that even in our regions. And as number 1 in shelter photography, Wildpix now offers you the chance to observe this animal from very close. Never before have chances been so great to photograph wolves nicely as there. It seems incredible because wolves are distance-takers who do not stay around in the same place so often, but for these photo huts they succeed.
We are in the far east of Poland on the border with Ukraine. Endless forests and tiny villages alternate. Rugged and inaccessible forests of dozens of kilometers offer a perfect habitat for these shy animals. And just there we found the ideal photo spot. Because they are not hunted in this place and have a gigantic wild and undisturbed territory, the chances here are maximal.
We want to emphasize that this is indeed a 100% wild population.
An encounter with this animal is really an indescribable experience. When you see him the first time, you realize that you are experiencing an extremely rare moment that you will cherish your life. And as a nature photographer it gives a huge kick to see the wolf in your viewfinder, the beauty of this animal splashes off your screen.
Our journey is the first and only one specifically aimed at the photography of the wolf from photo huts. Often wolves are a by-catch during bear observations in the North, but not here, he is the main subject.
From very comfortable photo huts with a perfect position and with fine accommodation as you are used to at Wildpix. Patience and perseverance are needed, but with top wolves photos as a result!

The region where people can live together perfectly with Wolves
We are in south-east Poland, exactly on the border with Ukraine, a wooded and abandoned region. Here local people have learned to live happily with the presence of large predators such as wolves and bears. They are sometimes even noticed in the streets of the small villages. But at least they are protected and respected, and that can only serve as an example for our countries where the emergence of the wolves is a hot topic.
Of course they have the advantage of the vast wild forests, but we can probably learn a lot from them.
They sometimes approach to 10 meters in front of your nose, if you do it well at least ....
With the necessary luck the wolves sometimes come very close to the hut. But of course this depends entirely on the discipline of the photographer. As always, discretion, inconspicuousness and silence are the key to success. Such animals deserve our greatest respect and disturbing them as a photographer is the last thing you want. The photo huts are perfectly built with the necessary acoustic protection, but as a photographer you still have to be quiet when you want to get such photos.

SUCH A RARE EXPERIENCE ASKS A PATIENCE - 12H HIDE PER DAY
THE RARE WOLVES ARE NOT ALWAYS EASY TO SEE SO BE PATIENT
As always, we absolutely want to bring you a fair story and that is that a wolf can not just be photographed. Patience is the message, and that deserves this animal too! The chance of success is absolutely great but not always guaranteed, it is not so. There will sometimes be days when it does not work. That is why a minimum number of attempts have also been included in our program.
There are fixed rules and absolute continuation is required to be successful. The photo days in the hut are long, about 12 hours a day, from dark to dark without getting out. But the cabins are comfortable enough to sit out.
Be aware that these animals are extremely shy and sometimes show themselves for a long time, but sometimes they do not. You can hit one wolf but sometimes also several at the same time and that spectacle is unique. They are active all day, so that's a big advantage.
They often come back to examine the place again.
Long wait, patience, constant alert and above all realize that you are waiting for one of the most beautiful animals in the world. You should remember that when you travel. It is not a zoo where something comes on command and that's the way it should be.
But if it succeeds to see them, it is an absolute top experience where your heart goes wild and you never forget that! The raw power and beauty of the wolves is incredible.

There are 3 photo hides available from small to large, each at a different height to get different views. They are beautiful, spacious, sturdy constructions with all the necessary comfort, even with sanitary facilities.
Big plus is that you look through glass but photograph without glass. that improves the quality of your images!

BEAUTIFUL EXTRAS NEXT TO THE WOLVES: from Golden Eagle to Nutcracker
During your photo day there are chances to see foxes, golden eagles, buzzards and others. Nothing is guaranteed but eyes open!
You can also try to photograph the fantastic Nutcracker. Not from the huts but at your accommodation where they often forage in the garden in good severe winters. Just sit with a camouflage cloth and with a bit of luck they come.

THE ACCOMMODATION
MODERN & COZY COMFORT IN A SMALL VILLAGE
In a very small village is a farm on 24 hectares of land. You will stay in beautiful typical bungalows, which offer every comfort. Fireplace, bathroom with shower, kitchen, neat bedrooms, in short everything you need.
The package is full board and you can eat in the main house of the farm. The food is obviously Polish cuisine but perfectly fine.
From this accommodation you can even see the cabins on top of the mountain across the road. You are 10 minutes away from the hut and the guide will take you to a sturdy Land Rover. This means that you stay in the middle of the wolves, which is also a unique fact.

PERIODS AND PROGRAM
Winter: We choose to offer this trip in the winter months because we believe that the chance of snow will make your images more unique and the wolves with their winter clothes at their best. Of course, snow is never guaranteed but very regularly there. In cold winter months the activity is also more intense.
Spring:
Wolves are active with cubs and on the same spot there is the chance of brown bear. The setting is different of course but with beautiful wild flowers and lots of green.

We travel to Reszow in Poland. These flights go from Amsterdam or Brussels and often a stopover in Warsaw. LOT Polish Airlines offers this destination.
From Reszow there is transfer to the location, ride of 3 hours.

In case of cancellation you should always inform us as soon as possible. Since we also have to pay cancellation costs with our partners, in some cases we also pay a cancellation fee.
